Your day master is the heavenly stem of the day you were born, one of ten, and BaZi reads it as your core self the way Western astrology reads your Sun.
The ten stems are five elements, each in a yang and a yin form. Yang wood is a tall tree and yin wood is a vine. Everything else in a BaZi chart is read in relation to this one character.
Which day master am I?
You need your birth date, and your birth time if you were born near midnight. It can't be worked out from your birth year or your zodiac animal: the day master changes every day, on a ten-day cycle.
